Cleanroom packaging

A cleanroom is a dirt- and dust-free environment in which workpieces can be cleaned and packed under dust-free conditions. LOA Full Surface Group has the capability to package workpieces cleanroom. LOA's cleanrooms comply with ISO class 3 and 4. Under ISO class 4, the air in the cleanroom may contain a maximum of 350 dust particles larger than 0.5 µm per cubic metre. For class 3, this is 35 dust particles larger than 0.5 µm per cubic metre. By comparison, an average living room contains 35,000,000 dust particles larger than 0.5 µm per cubic metre.

It is no longer only the electronics industry that demands a high level of cleanliness in various stages of the production chain. Due to miniaturisation and electronics phasing, all industries are gradually facing cleanroom conditions in various stages of their production chain. At LOA, treated workpieces can be packaged cleanroom directly from the production line without further processing, but after intensive inspection.

Workpieces consisting of raw aluminium or other materials should first be cleaned. This is done by thorough (ultrasonic) cleaning followed by rinsing with a rapidly evaporating solvent that removes water, oils, greases and other contaminants. The final step is packaging the product to your specifications in our clean room.
